On Oct. 13, the sequel to the hit horror game "Evil Within" will hit video game shelves. To prepare for its launch, Bethesda recently announced the PC specs and system requirements for the "Evil Within 2."
The list for the computer specs and requirements reveal that players will need a 64-bit PC and a minimum of 8 GB of random access memory (RAM), an Intel Core i5 central processing unit (CPU) or better, and a whopping 40 GB of free hard drive space.
Those requirements are the bare minimum, though, and it's recommended that people have at least 16 GB worth of RAM if they want to play "Evil Within 2" to the best of their computer's abilities.
Console requirements were also announced. "Evil Within 2" would take up approximately 31 GB on the Xbox one, not including future patches, and more space would be needed for the save files as well.
Meanwhile, console requirements for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) include 31 GB worth of space for the game itself, also not including future patches. Similar to the Xbox one, additional space would also be needed for the save files.
Developed by Tango Games and published by Bethesda, "Evil Within" was first released in October 2014. A third-person, survival horror game filled with chilling scares and gritty encounters, it focused on Sebastian Castellanos and his journey through a distorted world chock-full of traps and monsters.
In "Evil Within 2," Sebastian returns but this time, he needs to team up with a shady group and embark on a quest to save his daughter Lily.
According to Bethesda, this will be a story about redemption — Sebastian's chance to win back not only his former life, but his daughter as well.
Developed by Shinji Mikami, the developer of the Resident Evil games, Bethesda claims that "Evil Within 2" will take "the acclaimed franchise to a new level with its unique blend of psychological thrills and true survival horror."
The "Evil Within 2" will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
