No, FOX's record-breaking hip-hop musical series "Empire" has not been cancelled.

Several fake news websites claim that the second season of "Empire" will not push through because of salary issues.

However, one of the show's lead stars denied the rumors about the series cancellation, saying that the reports are not true.

"Haha hell no. Come on now. Don't believe faux journalists and pretend blogs son," actor Jussie Smollett said in his Twitter account. Smollett portrays the role of Jamal Lyon, the son of Terrence Howard's character Lucious Lyon.

The official Empire Twitter account also denied the rumors, telling a concerned fan that the rumors are not true, and that they will air again very soon.

Meanwhile, the trusted personal assistants of Lucious and his cunning ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will be promoted in season 2.

Though both Becky Williams (Gabourey Sidibe) and Porsha Taylor (Ta'Rhonda Jones) will still remain as the trusted "girl Friday" of the Empire Record executives, both actresses were promoted to series regular status for season 2.

Since series creator Lee Daniels and Danny Strong introduced the highly popular musical drama in January this year, a lot of high profile musicians and actors expressed their desire to guest in the show.

Some of the rumored guest stars for "Empire" season 2 include multimedia mogul Oprah Winfrey, Eminem, Justin Bieber, and Kanye West's wife Kim Kardashian.

But recently, Grammy-awarded singer-actress Brandy Norwood expressed her wish to be on the show during her interview with "Watch What Happens Live" show, saying that she would definitely love to have a guest appearance in the hit hip hop drama.

"I keep hearing that question. Everybody's putting it in the universe," the 90's hitmaker said.

Brandy popularized several chart-topping songs like "Have You Ever," "The Boy is Mine," as well as the recent hit "Put It Down." She also starred in some of the classic sitcoms like "Moesha" and "The Game," which is why fans believe that her appearance in Empire could be a great treat.

At the moment, FOX is still mum about the premiere date of "Empire" season 2.
