'Empire' season 2 midseason premiere release date, spoilers news: Lucious does everything to get Empire back from Camilla

It will be Lyon versus Lyon in episode 11 of "Empire" season 2, thanks to the connivance between Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) and Camilla Marks Whiteman (Naomi Campbell) to overthrow Lucious (Terrence Howard) as the head of Empire Entertainment during the midseason finale.

In the trailer for the upcoming episode, titled "Death Will Have Its Day," Camilla will hand over the position of Empire Entertainment's CEO to Lucious and Cookie Lyon's (Taraji P. Henson) youngest son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Grey). The young Lyon will gladly accept the offer, since he believes that it is his "birthright" to inherit the biggest entertainment company built by his father.

But Lucious will do everything that he can to get back the company that he established with the help of Cookie and their other sons Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Andre (Trai Byers). In the trailer, Lucious says, "When a family is in crisis, they come together."

While Lucious is busy taking back the company, Cookie will do everything that she can to win Hakeem back to their side. In one of the scenes in the trailer, Cookie, Jamal, and Andre are supposed to talk to the youngest Lyon but Camilla is sitting right beside him. This will disappoint Cookie, making her throw shade at her son's scheming girlfriend. "This is the saddest sight that I've ever seen," Cookie tells Camilla. "And I am not just talking about your face, Yoko."

The trailer also shows an angry Andre throwing a glass at a wall. In the midseason finale, the lives of his wife Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) and their unborn child were put in danger when someone pushed her off the stairs. Could this mean that the eldest Lyon son will be grieving the loss of his wife or kid, or both?

"Empire" season 2 returns on Fox on March 30.
