'Dusk' early access, news: Episode 1 and 2 with January 2018 release date set

Although in this day and age, graphics and visuals are a vital aspect of many modern games, the gameplay still matters the most. As such, the "Halo"-like, old-school shooter game, "Dusk," is no longer making the game episodic. Instead of continuing to develop each episode to perfection, the developers will be dropping the game on early access.

Episode one was released a few months back in August. Episode two, on the other hand, was just released recently. With the early access, both episodes will be dropped as part of the release. It will also include two Endless Arenas and the multiplayer mode, Duskworld.

Those who have already preordered the game will not need to make a separate purchase for the early access. Those who also have made pre-orders prior to Christmas day will also get a free upgrade to the collector's edition when the game is complete. As for those who have not bought yet and want to try the game out, the price remains the same at $20.00 on Steam.

"Back in August we naively thought we would have the game finished a few months after pre-orders went live and also that we didn't need Early Access to test the game," reads the announcement of publisher, New Blood. "We also didn't anticipate just how many people would want and love the game."

To put it in early access is actually beneficial for the game. As they have also acknowledged, "Dusk" will then easily get more players and thus more testers, which will then lead to a better game and ultimately, more sales. The presence of their game on the Steam store itself already serves as marketing for the game.

According to the announcement, the game currently has "7,500 people who have Dusk and 30,000 more wishing for it." The early access for "Dusk" will be available for on Jan. 11, 2018 via Steam.
