Is Sony teasing "Driveclub" fans about a DLC set in an Asian location?

Since Friday, the official Facebook page of the racing video game has been bearing an image of a GTA Spano cruising along a cherry blossom-lined street, which is believed to be somewhere in Japan. The cherry blossoms, also known as Sakura, is synonymous to Japanese culture. Thus, It could mean that game developer Evolution Studios is taking the race to that country.

The rumors about "Driveclub's" Japan DLC began as early as November last year, when a video that was uploaded in Youtube seemed to be displaying the name of its next location. Fans of the game, however, have been divided in their views about this speculation. Some were saying that the new location will indeed be included in the new expansion pack of the PlayStation 4-exclusive game, while others were not sure.

The game was off to a bad start when it was launched in October last year. The highly anticipated game failed to meet expectations, and a lot of glitches impeded the game's performance during the first few days of its release. However, Evolution Studios has been hard at work and is continuously trying to improve the game's performance. It released several updates over the past few months already. It will also release new cars and brand new tracks in January and February this year for free.

Also, the game developer announced that "Driveclub" will release a couple of new additional Tour Packs as well as a brand new Track Pack that is scheduled to be unveiled later this month. Because of this, others are guessing that the "Driveclub" Japan DLC will also be a part of the said additions to the game.

Sony Computer Entertainment company is the official game publisher of "Driveclub" for Playstation 4.
