'Driveclub' 1.11 update unleashes more improvements

Evolution Studios confirmed Monday via Twitter that update 1.11 for "DriveClub" is now ready to be downloaded. The new update, which is 690 MB in size, adds to the total of 6.56 GB of all the patches for the PlayStation 4-exclusive racing video game. 

"Driveclub's" update 1.11 comes with new features as well as several improvements such as new track variants and the like. It also has an added multiplayer mode that players can enjoy.  

Some of the issues fixed with the new update include those found in some of "Driveclub's" Trophies, such as: 

  • Contender – Players can now earn this Trophy after finishing the challenge while playing offline. 
  • Unbeatable – The players can start earning this Trophy after finishing the five challenges offline. 
  • All 'Rising Star' Tour Trophies – Those who want to earn this Trophy do not have to get more stars. 

Other significant improvements brought by "Driveclub's" 1.11 update include the additional multiplayer game mode that will be available on Feb. 18, a new track offering called Kobago in Japan that comes with two variants, lowered progress requirements on all add-on Tours, as well as the option to pick from a collection of factory Paint Jobs when selecting a vehicle before the Event. 

Other improvements that the 1.11 update were posted by Gear Nuke, including: 

  • Adds the option to enable the Rev Counter in cockpit view. 
  • Decreases the threshold on the manumatic downshift limiter to allow players to downshift earlier. 
  • Reduces the drying time for rain splatter on the screen when in Chase Cam. 
  • Implements ghosting under certain conditions in Multiplayer races to prevent track blocking. 
  • Includes a number of minor bug fixes, performance improvements and usability tweaks. 

Some of the featured add-ons from the new update contain added support for the DOWNFORCE Expansion Pack, coming to the PlayStation Store as a premium/ Season Pass add-on, additional Downforce Tour Pack which includes 11 new Events and five new Trophies, and more support for two new livery packs. Each Livery Pack contains five new livery patterns to customize cars with.
