2D fantasy game "Dragon's Crown" was released in 2013. The game received positive reviews and did well during its initial Western release. As a result, "Dragon's Crown" will be returning with "Dragon's Crown Pro." The game is slated for a Western release sometime in the Spring of 2018.

Japan will be getting "Dragon's Crown Pro" a little earlier. It was reported that the game is slated for a February 2018 release in the east. Moreover, the game will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro platforms as well.

According to Atlus, "Dragon's Crown Pro" will be a remastered version of the 2013 "Dragon's Crown." The upcoming game will stay true to its predecessors' plot-line and 2D art style. However, it will be changing some of its gameplay features and in-game mechanics to live up to the current generation consoles' standards. Updates aside, "Dragon's Crown Pro" will technically be the same games fans played in 2013 — with updated graphics and more user-friendly game mechanics.

According to Gematsu, there are new things that players can expect from "Dragon's Crown Pro."

"Dragon's Crown Pro" will support 4k HD graphics for the latest generation consoles. It will also include a new soundtrack composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, a Japanese music composer known for his work on "Final Fantasy Tactics."

Players of "Dragon's Crown Pro" will also have the option to toggle between Japanese or English audio. Subtitled will be available in several different languages. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode that allows for both local and online play.

The announcement trailer for the Western release of "Dragon's Crown Pro" was uploaded to Atlus USA's YouTube channel on Dec. 6.  "Dragon's Crown" was initially released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The game was set in the Kingdom of Hydeland and followed the journey of several characters as they set off on a quest to recover the Dragon Crown.
