PlayStation console users are still eagerly waiting for news about the "Jaws of Hakkon" DLC, as BioWare already unveiled the downloadable content for "Dragon Age: Inquisition" for the Xbox One and PC platforms last week.

The game developer initially discussed the release of a premiere downloadable content across all platforms during the 2014 E3 event, but details about it became scarce until BioWare's Mark Darrah announced on Tuesday the release of "Jaws of Hakkon" for PC and Xbox One via his Twitter account.

However, the release date of the DLC for PlayStation 4 was noticeably missing in the announcement made by the game producer. When asked about the schedule for the PS4, Darrah said that he still cannot provide a definite timeline for it, and he continues to apologize to PlayStation 4 users for prolonging the wait.

Several players asked the game producer if the outstanding contract between game publisher EA and Microsoft is preventing the studio from talking about the release date of the DLC in other consoles besides the Xbox and PC versions, and Darrah confirmed their thoughts.

In a Q&A panel for the new DLC posted on Kotaku, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed that they still planning to release the expansion pack for the Sony gaming platform.

"Jaws of Hakkon is a timed exclusive for the Xbox One and PC (through Origin). This approach allowed for a lot of support from Microsoft and Origin in launching the DLC, so [it] did have that benefit for the team, and we appreciate the partnership," Flynn claimed. "However, as a timed exclusive, it is definitely coming to the game's other platforms, and based on our internal discussions I expect we'll be announcing more details next week."

However, according to Darrah, the studio is already looking for other options to be able to offer the game to all the consoles to reach more players in the future.

Since its release back in November 2014, the action role-playing video game received rave reviews from critics, particularly because of its stellar story plot, soundtrack, voice acting, combat playing, as well as its detailed environment graphic design.

It also received the Game of the Year awards from IGN, Game Informer, Hardcore Gamer, SXSW Gaming Awards, the DICE Awards, as well as the Electronic Gaming Monthly. It also ranked second in the list of best games of GamesRadar in 2014.
