Headbang Club, the developer and publisher of the game "Double Kick Heroes," announced that the metal rhythm shooter is scheduled to launch its Early Access on Steam on April 11.

The announcement was made via a Steam Community announcement by Yannick "Tavrox" Elahee, Marketing specialist for Headbang Club. Elahee also posted a reveal trailer for the upcoming Early Access launch. According to Elahee, the game will feature the following — three first chapters modes, 17 unique levels, roughly four hours of content; 18 handmade tracks by the legendary Elmobo (Nightmare Creatures); three insane boss fights — the Shark Lord, the LaserEye T-Rex and the METAL SLUG; a polished Arcade mode, in which players can jump right into hell; and a V0.666 of Editor mode in which players can import their song, build a level and share it with their friends on the Steam workshop.

According to the Steam page of the game, the game features explosions, rebels, militias, undead, road-rage, madness and an apocalyptic world. Players will be tasked to kill zombies with their gundillacs to survive in the game and they can do so by means of shooting these monsters by beating the keyboard or their pad with metal music the same way they would beat a drumset. To speed up the music, players must use a drumming technique called Double Kicking, which is also the name of the weapon they will use against zombies. Moreover, players will also be working alongside a crazy band, composed of Lincoln, Derek, Snake, Randie and James, who love metal. Each of the band members is a unique, cunning metal player whose stories and hidden truths must be discovered by players.
