'Disney Infinity 3.0' characters: new teaser shows Ant-Man's debut in toys-to-life video game

After his successful debut on the big screen, the Ant-Man may soon be joining the ranks of playable characters in "Disney Infinity 3.0."

The teaser for Marvel's latest addition in the list of characters that will be featured in the upcoming action-adventure sandbox game was posted in "Disney Infinity's" official Twitter account.

The post, however, did not mention if the Ant-man will be given his own playset, or if he will be released as a single character pack in the third installment of Disney Interactive's toys-to-life video game. The release date of this character is also unannounced.

Characters based on Marvel Comics were first featured in "Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition," which is also called "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes." One of its playsets includes the characters from "The Avengers" like Iron Man, Captain America, the Black Widow, Thor, Hulk, Loki, and Falcon. Spider-Man and some of his infamous villains are also featured in another playset, while Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer, Yondu, Gamora, Ronan the Accuser, and the beloved Groot are included in another playset.

Currently, the official characters that will be featured in "Disney Infinity 3.0" include "Star Wars" icons such as Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Yoda, and Chewbacca. The "Star Wars Rebels" characters like Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Kanan Jarrus, and Zeb Orrelios will also be released as single character releases.

"Inside Out" characters like Joy, Anger, Sadness, Disgust, and Fear will also come out on "Disney Infinity 3.0," as well as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Sam Flynn and Quorra from "Tron," Mulan, and "Frozen's" Olaf.

"Disney Infinity 3.0" is slated for release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC in Europe on Aug. 28, while players in North American countries will be able to purchase the game on Aug. 30.
