After finding out who really killed Peri Westmore (Mariana Klaveno) at the end of season 4, new mysteries unfold even before Lifetime renews "Devious Maids" for season 5.

At the end of the fourth season, it was revealed that director Hugh Metzger's (Sam McMurray) daughter, Gail Fleming (Julie Claire) was the one responsible for Peri's murder after the latter decided to tell the police that Hugh sexually assaulted her.

This means that Spence Westmore's (Grant Show) name will be finally cleared regarding his ex-wife's murder. However, Spence's problems are not yet over, since Rosie Falta (Dania Ramirez) opted to keep baby Tucker's (Carter Birchwell) paternity a secret.

Carmen Luna (Roselyn Sanchez) and her daughter Dani Mercado (Sol Rodriguez) finally agreed to try to work on their relationship. But it seems like Dani's still-unknown father will finally surface if Lifetime renews the series for a fifth season.

In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Sabrina Wind said that Dani's father may be introduced next season.

"100,000 percent! I'm hoping the character is this incredibly hot, wonderful man who's going to come back into Carmen's life and challenge where she is and what she's about," Wind stated.

Marisol Suarez (Ana Ortiz) has finally found her ever-after in Peter Hudson (James Denton), and they decided to get married at the end of season 4. But instead of finally walking down the aisle, Marisol mysteriously disappeared without a trace. According to the executive producer, Marisol's disappearance could be tackled in the upcoming season.

"It will launch us into the new season. We have many thoughts of what it all means, but we have to wait to talk to Lifetime about them. It will be a completely new story," Wind stated in the interview.

Lifetime has yet to announce if the network will call for a fifth season of "Devious Maids."
