Another cliffhanger capped the final episode of "Devious Maids" season 3.

In "Anatomy of a Murder," the mysterious murderer in Beverly Hills who killed the new maid Blanca (Naya Rivera) and tennis pro Louie Becker was finally revealed. The maids found out that Carmen's (Roselyn Sanchez) new fiancé Sebastien (Gillies Marini) was responsible for all the killings in town after she discovered the dress, which she lent to Blanca before she was abducted, was in his possession.

But before she could even cry for help, Sebastien discovered that Carmen already knew his secrets, and he held her at gunpoint until Marisol (Ana Ortiz), Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky), and Adrian (Tom Irwin) discovered the scene. Sebastien decided to tell them the truth, and claimed that he never intended to hurt anyone. He just wanted his wife's money but circumstances made him do drastic actions.

According to Sebastien, the tennis player died after falling onto a glass table while they were in the middle of a fight. Sebastien found out that Louie was spying on them to help his friend Michael (Brett Cullen) catch his cheating wife Taylor (Briana Brown). The Stappord's adopted daughter Katy (Grecia Merino) suddenly appeared during the incident, but Taylor lured her back to sleep. Sebastien decided to take matters into his own hands by chopping Louie's lifeless body and throwing it all over Beverly Hills to thwart the investigation of the police.

Blanca, on the other hand, died because she kept on asking questions after she discovered the bloody room where Louie died. Sebastien then threatened to kill Carmen, but Marisol knocked him out from behind using a fireplace tool. This resulted to a gas leak, which was why the group rushed to get out of the house to safety.

But while the murder mysteries have been resolved, another life was endangered when Adrian chose to return to their house to retrieve a family photo. Within minutes, the Powell mansion exploded when Sebastien accidentally lit a spark.

However, by the season finale of "Devious Maids" season 3, Adrian's life is not the only one in danger since Zoila's (Judy Reyes) life also hangs by a thread because of childbirth.

Will these characters survive their current blow and return for season 4?

The fate of these characters, as well as the entire show, is now in the hands of Lifetime Network's executives, and series showrunner Brian Tanen stated that they are still waiting until the end of September to find out if "Devious Maids" will return next season. Yet Tanen remains positive that they will be back for another run.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the showrunner said, "I am very optimistic. The show has been exciting and fun this year and I'm hopeful that Lifetime will give us a fourth season. It's not in my hands but I'm optimistic."

Still, fans of the show are hoping that the loose ends left by the previous season finale will be tied when "Devious Maids" returns for season 4.
