Denver Broncos NFL trade rumors 2017: Broncos pursuing Kirk Cousins? Team impressed with QB's performance

A couple of NFL teams will be in the market for a quarterback this off-season, and if the Washington Redskins opt not to apply the $34.47 million deal on Kirk Cousins, the quarterback means he may be playing for a different team next year. If that is the case, he could very well end up with Denver Broncos.

There have been rumors that the Broncos have been subtly convincing Cousins to join them next season. While that remains to be confirmed, star linebacker Von Miller seems to be happy to welcome him to the team.

Following Bronco's game with the Redskins at Fed Ex Field Sunday, Miller said Cousins has exactly what it takes to get his team's QB position.

"Kirk's a great quarterback; I'll say that every day of the week," he said in a statement. "I'm with everybody else. Like I said before, a lot of teams would literally kill to have a quarterback like that. The list is long, but we'll cross that bridge if we ever come to it."

Even cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr. share the same sentiment, with the latter saying Cousins is better in person than he initially thought he was.

The Redskins quarterback was on fire during their weekend match. He finished 19-of-37 for 299 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, leading to a 27-11 victory over the Broncos.

Broncos is currently in need of a real quarterback as they have been missing much all season. According to reports, they have three QBs under contract -- Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, and Chad Kelly. However, all of them have reportedly struggled as the team was unable to control turnovers or consistently move the ball on offense.

Whether or not Cousins signs up for Broncos remains to be seen. When asked about his future, he said, "We're going to see how this thing goes. My job was to play 16 football games this season and I still have another game to play. That's where my focus is, and when this season is over, we'll go from there. I have to play football well and do the best I can."
