The epic Willamette Mall will have significant upgrades in "Dead Rising 4."

The main setting of the original "Dead Rising" video game that came out in 2006 will return in its fourth installment, which is scheduled to come out worldwide on Dec. 6.

A report from IGN revealed that game protagonist Frank West will once again find himself in his least favorite place in Willamette, Colorado. But this time, the new mall will be divided into five different sections. One of them is the Amazon-themed food court, while the shopping area has a Japanese theme, complete with several iconic Capcom characters like Morrigan and Zero.

Frank will also deal with a horde of zombies again within the mall, but he could take them down easily with the use of several unique weapons that will be introduced in "Dead Rising 4." It includes the new weapon called the Froztee Penguin, a mask that he can wear while he freezes the zombies. There is also a fun new weapon called the Magic Wand, which he can use to transform the zombie to become a Christmas decoration.

Meanwhile, Capcom's gameplay producer David McAnerin explained why they will not offer a co-op campaign for the fourth installment of "Dead Rising" video game series in a recent live Twitch stream.

According to McAnerin, the game studio wants to make sure that the game is focused on Frank's story. "We think he's a really interesting character. It's really exciting to bring him back," the Capcom executive said.

However, "Dead Rising 4" will still include a multiplayer mode within the game since there will be a detached four-player co-op that will be offered separately. The upcoming mode will include the backstories of the other four playable characters who will also find themselves wandering inside the Willamette Mall.

"Dead Rising 4" will have a timed exclusive release for Windows 10 for 90 days for its PC edition, while the console version will be exclusive for Xbox One for one year before it comes out to PlayStation 4.
