It looks like fans will finally hear about the long-awaited "Dark Souls 3" downloadable content (DLC) this next week Wednesday, Aug. 24.

From Software teased that a "major announcement is forthcoming" on the said date, teasing that fans will need a little bit more patience to find out.

"Dark Souls 3" DLCs have been a hot topic for a while with From Software mostly silent about its post-launch content. The company did reveal that a couple of expansion packs are coming to the game.

One will be released fall this year, which is likely the one that From Software will talk about next week. The second one is scheduled for early 2017.

In an earlier leak of the supposed season pass for the game, it was revealed that these "Dark Souls 3" DLCs will challenge players with "new maps, bosses, enemies and additional weapon and armor sets."

It also urged players to "prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness." Other than that, there were no specific details revealed.

That will of course change next week when From Software finally talks more about its post-launch plans for "Dark Souls 3."

PCGamesN believes it is an exciting time, simply because From Software's is known for its stellar DLC releases for its titles and that their content almost always do not disappoint.

Interestingly, prior to the big reveal of the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC next week, a bunch of concept art believed to be from the game were leaked online.

The images show a variety of nightmarish creatures such as a flaming horse, hellhounds and what look like octopus soldiers. Check out all the leaked artwork here.

Of course, as it is always with leaks, fans are warned to take this with a grain of salt. Thankfully, fans will only have to wait a week to learn if these monsters are coming to "Dark Souls 3" via DLC.
