If Caitlyn Jenner will not join "Dancing With the Stars" season 21, then maybe one of her family members will take her place. New reports claim that Jenner's stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian is being tapped to be one of the next contestants in the long-running celebrity dance competition.

Khloe is the third daughter of Jenner's ex-wife Kris. She and the rest of her family are featured on E! Network's "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." She also appeared in several reality spin-offs like "Kourtney and Khloe" with her eldest sister, as well as the "Khloe and Lamar" show where her married life with ex-husband Lamar Odom was featured.

If reports turn out to be accurate, Khloe will be the third Kardashian who will vie for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. Older sister Kim joined in season 7 and younger brother Rob competed in season 13, where he ended in second place.

No confirmation has been reported as of the moment.

Meanwhile, Caitlyn's refusal to join the next season of "Dancing With the Stars" was reported early this month, after a representative denied the news that she is joining the show next season. The publicist of the current ESPY's Arthur Ashe awardee told Entertainment Tonight that she will not be a part of the 21st season of ABC's hit dance reality show.

"There is not, nor have there ever been, any negotiations on this matter," the publicist said. "They inquired if she was interested in participating in the show and I said no thank you. That is the extent of the communication."

Caitlyn could have been the very first transgender woman who will compete on the "DWTS" dance floor if she decided to join. Several pro dancers already expressed their intention to be paired with the former Olympic gold medalist, including five-time Mirror Ball champion Derek Hough and Val Chmerkovskiy.

It was reported that Caitlyn's hectic schedule prevented her from joining the show, since her upcoming E! documentary "I am Cait" will premiere on July 26. It will tackle her difficult journey being Bruce Jenner before she eventually confessed her true sexuality.

The final list of "Dancing With the Stars" season 21 cast will be announced before the show begins on Sept. 21.
