Dancing with the Stars 2014 cast: Julianne Hough returns to DWTS Season 19 €“ as a judge?

One of Dancing With the Stars' popular alums is rumored to rejoin the series, but she won't be dancing this time around.

Two-time Mirror Ball winner Julianne Hough is said to be in talks to return to DWTS Season 19, but as a judge and not as a professional dancer.

According to TMZ reports, "Sources connected with the show tell us ... they've made an offer to Julianne to become the fourth judge ... the other three are coming back. We're told the two sides are in negotiations and are expected to make the deal."

Hough's stint as the new judge of the hit celebrity dance show means that she will be joining other longtime judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli.

The dancer/actress managed to win two consecutive seasons, with Apolo Anton Ohno during Season 4 and Helio Castroneves in Season 5.

Hough left the show after the end of Season 8 to pursue a singing and acting career, but she recurrently appeared on the show as a guest judge.

However, not everyone is thrilled to see Hough back as a judge in DWTS. Allegedly, Maksim Chmerkovskiy is not happy with the news.

Apparently, the defending champion plans not to return to the ballroom, but he wants to have a seat in the panel this season.

In the original TMZ article that reported Hough's supposed return as a judge in DWTS, a line said "And there's this ... our sources say Maksim Chmerkovskiy wanted the judging gig and wanted it BADLY ... and he's really p***** he didn't get it and has made it known to producers.

The post has since been deleted.

Dancing With The Stars Season 19 will premiere Monday, September 15 on ABC.
