A week after "Dance Moms" closed its seventh season, fans are still waiting for an announcement on whether the hit Lifetime reality show will come back for season 8.

Last week, "Dance Moms" ended with four episodes which showed the newly-formed team The Irreplaceables earning a victory at the Nationals, the girls' first without their former coach Abby Lee Miller.

The two-part finale was followed by two special episodes — one about Miller's legacy on the show and the other about the return of Christi and Chloe Lukasiak in season 7.

Following the finale, "Dance Moms" star Kalani Hilliker posted a heartfelt "thank you" message to her fans and friends on the TV series.

"Thank you to everyone who has watched us grow up into young adults on this show it has truly been an honor to be a part of your lives," she said in what looked a lot like a farewell message. This has fueled the assumptions that the show will not return for another season.

Nia Sioux also officially said goodbye to her fans through her YouTube channel. She said joining the show was a "chance of a lifetime" and she "couldn't be more grateful."

The 16-year-old dancer earlier announced that she was leaving "Dance Moms," whether or not it gets another season. In an interview with Teen Vogue, she said that being part of the show limited her from doing a lot of things that she wanted to do.

"I'm growing up, the show has been a great platform, but it's time to move on," she said.

"Dance Moms" season 7 was filled with controversy — what with Miller being convicted of bankruptcy fraud resulting to a year in jail, her disagreements with the show's production crew, and ultimately her replacement in the name of "Dancing with the Stars" veteran Cheryl Burke.

No official news yet from Lifetime on whether there will be a season 8 for "Dance Moms," but fans will be delighted to know that their favorite girls can be seen on stage for The Irreplaceables Tour, which will kick off on Nov. 28.
