The tenth season of "Criminal Minds" is almost over, but it does not necessarily mean that all the action packed sequences of the series will start to wane down. In fact, the long-running police procedural series will feature one of its most exhilarating episodes next week.

During this week's penultimate episode, a vicious vigilante Unsub went around Los Angeles while hooting people who are believed to be involved in different crimes within the city.

But as BAU deals with the problem brought by the vigilante Unsub, Kate (Jennifer Love Hewitt) gets another problem of her own. By the end of the episode titled "Protection," her niece Meg (Hailey Sole) and her friend Markayla (Taylor Mosby) had been kidnapped by an Internet predator involved in sex trafficking who describes himself as a teenage boy.

The official synopsis of the episode titled "The Hunt" reads:

"When Kate's niece Meg and her best friend are kidnapped, the BAU suspects an online predator engaged in sex trafficking."

According to executive producer Erica Messer in a recent interview with Zap2it, the final scenes in episode 22 will be a cliffhanger, which will lead to the story that will be featured in the final episode.

"We will bring back the creepy, Internet stalker guy from the premiere. That story will be tied together," the executive producer teased.

Kate also is expected to have several highly emotional scenes during this episode, especially since the life of her niece is in danger. No wonder her husband Chris (Greg Grunberg) returns to give her support.

Rumors claim that Jennifer Love Hewitt's character Kate may have to say goodbye to the series after the final episode of season 10, since the actress will reportedly take a break after giving birth to her child.

However, it is not clear if Kate will indeed take a break from the BAU or if she will quit from the team completely after the season.

"Criminal Minds" season 10 finale airs on Wednesday, May 6.
