Rumors regarding a new "Crash Bandicoot" game have recently been making rounds on the internet.

In 2017, the PlayStation 4 (PS4)-exclusive title "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" was released, and the game became an instant hit among the PS4 and "Crash Bandicoot" fans alike. The iconic "Crash Bandicoot" has been a part of the Sony and PlayStation family since 1996.

Recently, rumors regarding a new game for the PC and Nintendo switch have been spreading. The rumor itself is yet to be confirmed, but according to The Sun UK, the source of the rumors was the magazine "Licensing Source Book Europe," the spring 2018 edition of which featured an interview with Max Arguile (the manager of GB eye). According to The Sun, GB eye reportedly works with Activision to sell "Crash Bandicoot" merchandise.

According to Eurogamer, Arguile said that because "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" was such a hit with the fans, next year they would take it a step further and bring the game to the PC and Nintendo Switch. Arguile also went on to state that Activision had a five-year plan for the title and GB eye would be happy to participate in creating and selling the merchandise.

While the interview made it seem quite clear that the game would be coming to the PC and Switch, the printed versions of the announcement removed all references to the PC and Switch.

A screenshot of the original announcement, however, was saved and posted on the online forum Resetera.

Activision has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. As of the moment, fans are taking the announcement with a grain of salt, with a handful of them questioning whether or not Arguile had accidentally shared false information.

"Crash Bandicoot" originally came out in 1996 on the PlayStation. Developed by Naughty Dog, the game follows the adventures of a mutated bandicoot named Crash as he fights the evil Doctor Nitrus.
