New updates for "Clash of Clans" are expected to come out soon, according to a post on the game's official Facebook page.

Fans of the critically acclaimed freemium mobile MMO strategy game took to the social networking site to ask game developer Supercell about its next update. The game developer replied that there will be one coming soon.

"We're working on the final details and we'll be able to release some sneak peeks some time next week hopefully! Stay tuned!" the game developer said.

Meanwhile, a staff from Supercell posted on the game's official forum about the team's future plans for the Clan Wars Matchmaking feature. According to the staff using the name Anoushka, a new version of the Clan Wars matchmaking feature will come out with a lot of improvements that will help expand the value of the war matchups.

"The Clan Wars matchmaking system has been overhauled with fairness of matching in mind. It aims to provide a more competitive and fun warring experience for all Clans," the Supercell staff said.

Some of the changes that will come to the Clan Wars matchmaking feature include:

  • Removing the war sizes 35v35 and 45v45 to improve the matches in other existing war sizes
  • Focusing more on the defensive (village) progress and focusing less on offensive (army) progress
  • Giving more matchmaking impact on late-game defenses and troops such as the Eagle Artillery, Inferno Towers, and Grand Warden
  • Giving more importance on Clans with the same win/loss records during their recent wars
  • Adding team-versus-team compositional checks to remove war imbalance matchups

"The team is also looking forward to making even more improvements to the Clan Wars experience this year, starting with these changes to help everyone get better war matchups," the Supercell staff also shared.

At the moment, the game developer remains mum about the actual release date of the next "Clash of Clans" update.
