The nearing dates of the first expansion for "Civilization 6" called "Rise and Fall" is definitely just a few weeks away. However, that does not stop the developers from teasing more and more upcoming content. Just when players thought there would already be an overwhelming number of new civilizations or civs, developers have added another one to the growing list; Scotland the Brave led by Robert the Bruce is coming.

As with all the other previously revealed civs for the expansion, Scotland was first seen in a short gameplay trailer. Also, as with any other civ, new and old, they would have their own unique ability both as Scotland and as Robert the Bruce, a unique unit, and a unique infrastructure.

Scotland's unique ability is called "Scottish Enlightenment." Cities with enough happiness will get a big bonus of Science and Production. In addition, as it is, after all, an Enlightenment, the ability will enable these happy cities to generate one additional Great Scientist and Great Engineer point for every campus and Industrial Zone, respectively.

As for Robert the Bruce, he has an ability called "Bannockburn" which, according to history, is made known for the Battle of Bannockburn during the Scottish independence. This gives Robert the ability to declare War of Liberation as long as the player researches the Defensive Tactics civic. During this, units gain additional movement during the first turns.

Their unique infrastructure is the Golf Course, which may seem odd. In the game at least, it provides Amenity, Gold, and bonus Culture if placed beside an Entertainment District. As the game gets longer, it also provides Tourism and Housing Bonuses. Lastly, their unique unit is the Highlander, which simply replaces the Ranger and gets bonus combat in hills and woods.

"Rise and Fall" is due to come out on Feb. 8, 2018. Previously revealed civs include Korea, The Netherlands, Mongolia, a new Indian leader, and most recently, The Cree.
