The pain of losing Leo (Scott Michael Foster) still haunts April (Italia Ricci), but it seems like the grieving widow will try to mask what she feels by doing things that are not expected from her, in the next episode of "Chasing Life" season 2.
The official synopsis for the ninth episode titled "Wild Thing" reads:
April continues the grieving process, but nothing she does seems to ease the pain of losing Leo. When she gets news of her inheritance, she looks to the newly acquired money and the joy of spending it to take away her pain. Beth wants new shoes? She's got it! An expensive night on the town with friends – done! A little dabbling into the drug culture – sure, why not? But her friends are not sure what to do with this new wild and crazy April. Is April heading down a dark and dangerous path?"
On the other hand, April's sister Brenna (Haley Ramm) will finally premiere her short film, while their mother Sara (Mary Page Keller) is looking for ways to help others.
But April seems to be meeting someone new when the episode airs Monday.
In Ricci's Instagram account, the actress revealed that "The Flash" star and her real-life fiancé Robbie Amell will appear in "Chasing Life" season 2 episode 9.
Amell reposted the actress' picture, saying: "Next weeks @chasinglifeabcf is a must see. @italiaricci finally meets a guy with what she really needs..."
However, there is no information provided about Amell's character, and the actor did not reveal how long he will appear in the show.
Ricci and Amell were engaged since August 2014, and they are set to be married next year. The actress told the Entertainment Tonight that she used April's wedding preparation to complete her own wedding needs.
She said, "It's funny because when we were shooting the scene of April trying on wedding dresses, in between takes we were at the bridal shop, so I was looking around. I was like, 'This is convenient!' and I found my wedding dress. I bought my wedding dress from the place where April was trying hers on."
"Chasing Life" season 2 episode 9 airs Monday, Aug. 31, on ABC Family.
