The original PlayStation (PS) 3 and Xbox 360 game "Catherine" will be getting a remake for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. There have also been leaks that the game will feature a new character.

The game, originally developed by Atlus, will now be developed by their internal development team, Studio Zero, who was previously reported to be working on another role-playing game (RPG). The previous teaser for a new game revealed back in August is now confirmed to be the "Catherine" remake, now named "Catherine: Full Body."

There is not much news yet as to how different it will be from the original title. Fortunately for fans, they would not need to wait long as a live stream on Niconico for the game will take place on Dec. 22, Friday, at 5:30 AM EST. The stream will allow the developers to reveal more information about the game and how much it has changed from the original "Catherine."

Meanwhile, according to Persona Central, there have been major leaks about the game from Japanese publications Ryokutya2089 and Hachima Kikou. One of the major noticeable changes, according to the leaks, is a third character named Rin. This new character will apparently be a lot more different compared to both Catherine and Katherine.

The remake may also come with new story episodes following the new character, as well as more animated scenes. There is also the possibility of having more than one ending depending on what the player does. Finally, there will reportedly be various difficulty options depending on whether a player wants to go through a challenge or just enjoy the story.

That said, none of these leaks seem to have come from official sources. As such, it will be up to the developers if they do confirm or deny any of the rumors during the live stream.

"Catherine: Full Body" has no release date yet. The game will be made for the PS4 and PS Vita, but there has not been any mention yet if the game will also be ported over to other consoles and PC.
