Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) and Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) might have a close encounter with the real-life Aladdin's lamp in the next episode of "Castle" season 8.

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Death Wish," the couple and the rest of the team from the 12th Precinct will look into a new murder case involving a man who has direct connections with Turkish relics smuggling.

The synopsis for the episode reads:

"The murder of a man connected to smuggling Turkish relics sends Castle, Beckett and the 12th Precinct on a search for a stolen antique believed to be Aladdin's lamp, in hopes that it can lead them to the killer."

But could they find the reported real-life Aladdin's lamp on time to catch the victim's killer, or would the person responsible for the crime manage to let the genie out to wish against the couple's success in capturing the killer?

The episode will feature several guest stars such as Frank Tran who will portray the role of Lars Cross, John Ducey as Mark Nagle, as well as Carolyn Stotesbery as Genevieve.

Meanwhile, showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter revealed early this year that they were gearing up to conclude some of the storylines as the series approaches its season 8 finale.

"LokSat is definitely getting resolved at the end of this year," Hawley said in an interview with Deadline. "Our hope was to take all the threads -- the conspiracies, Sen. Bracken, Castle's missing time-- and really tie them off in a compelling, satisfying way, so that in Season 9 we can tell really compelling standalone stories and leave the conspiracy part of it behind. I think ultimately those stories are about played-out."

The upcoming episode of "Castle" season 8 airs on Monday, April 11, on ABC.
