'Captain America: Civil War' spoilers: Film to impact 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

"Agents of S.H.I.EL.D." will change after "Captain America: Civil War." Marvel

The events that will transpire in "Captain America: Civil War" will also have a profound effect on the Marvel TV-verse, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." executive producer Jed Whedon has revealed.

This means that the ABC series will be in for a massive turnaround change after the clash between Team Iron Man and Team Captain America.

Whedon said that "Captain America: Civil War" will impact "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." the way "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" changed the show.

"It will definitely have a ripple effect. It is one world, so if there is a giant event, it will definitely have a ripple effect on our world," the EP told The Hollywood Reporter.

Whedon did not go into the detail as to how this domino effect will happen but it certainly won't be a stretch, considering the events in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." involving the Inhumans.

With the Sokovia records brought into play in "Captain America: Civil War," the TV show can simply follow suit by having the Inhumans dealt with an iron fist by the government.

Also speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, stars of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." revealed where their characters will side on.

Clark Gregg, for one, said that his character Coulson will choose Cap's side in a heartbeat if he was the same guy fans saw in the previous "Avengers" movies. Considering all that happened in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Coulson's perspective may have changed.

Although "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will feel the changes in the film, the show will have little to no impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe or in this case, "Captain America: Civil War."

As for the impact of "Captain America: Civil War" on the upcoming movies involving the two warring parties in the film, actor Chris Evans told Buzzfeed (via Comicbook) that it "will change the dynamic forever."

In addition to that, directors Joe and Anthony Russo tease fans that "When you come out of that film, nothing will be the same."

"There will be a long-lasting fallout from the events of this movie. It will significantly alter the psychology of the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward," the duo added.

"Captain America: Civil War" will be released on May 6 while new "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episodes air Tuesday nights on ABC.
