'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC 2: Zombie theme from unannounced DLC briefly appears on game's website

Activision was quick to remove the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 nugget on the game's website. Call of Duty/Activision/Treyarch

A teaser image showcasing the Zombie theme for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 was briefly spotted on the official website of the game before it was taken down.

Charlie Intel was early enough to check out and take a screenshot of the image before Treyarch and Activision deleted it to avoid more details about it leaking out.

The image was plastered on the promo site of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" season pass, which Activision is offering at a discounted price for players who purchased the "Awakening" DLC.

The webpage for the bonus themes that PS4 players will get when they avail of the promo included a photo of what is labelled as the Zombie theme from the second "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC.

The source code for the image is "dlc2-screen-zombies," which confirms that the photo is indeed fans' unpremeditated first look at the upcoming expansion pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3."

Next to the photo are the words:

"Complete your season pass and receive access to the exclusive PS4 'Skyjacked' Dynamic System Theme.

"Season Pass owners will also get the 'The Giant' Zombies Map and the PS4 exclusive Zombies 'Der Eisendrache' Dynamic System Theme.

"Dynamic Themes will only available on PS4."

As one would expect, little is known about the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 or what's going on in the photo. Gamers, however, are generally happy about what they see in the image.

Visiting the page for the season pass, fans will no longer see the photo. The second part of the description has been changed as well. It now reads:

"Season Pass owners will also get the 'The Giant' Zombies Map and the PS4™ exclusive Zombies 'Der Eisendrache' Dynamic System Theme."

Activision has yet to make "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 official, but it looks like the stage is almost set for its launch.
