Boston Celtics may have to pass on the chance to sign Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor, for now.

Speculations about the possible trade between the Celtics and the 76ers for the 20-year-old 2015 third overall round 1 draft pick from Duke University may not push through, since the Celtics may not be willing to let go of their current line-up just to acquire Okafor.

According to Philly.com, getting Okafor is not one of the top priority of the Celtics at the moment even if they are eyeing the center for quite a while. Yet the team is just not ready to give some of their key men in order to sign him for a deal, since the Sixers will obviously look for a worthy deal to convince them to trade Okafor.

But while the deal with Okafor has yet to transpire, the Celtics already started to fill out their roster.

According to NESN.com, the team inked a one-year contract with free agent Gerald Green at the veteran's minimum. Green last played with the Miami Heat during the 2015-2015 season, where he set an average of 8.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 6% PIE during its stint with the team.

The Celtics also reacquired center Tyler Zeller for a two-year deal with $16-million with a team option on the second year. Zeller had been with the Celtics since acquiring him from Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014.

Aside from Green and Zeller, the Celtics also inked contracts with two rookies for the upcoming 2016-2017 NBA season. One goes out to the University of Notre Dame point guard Demetrius Jackson, who was the 45th overall draft pick this year. The other one is that Ghanaian born power forward from Providence College named Ben Bentil, who turned out to be the 51st overall draft pick in the upcoming season.
