The Jeffersonian team will delve into the death of an ex-convict who mysteriously dies in episode 14 of "Bones" season 11.

The episode, titled "The Last Shot at a Second Chance," features the team's investigation into the death of a recently released convicted criminal who was supposed to go to a halfway house but suddenly disappears.

But the case will get complicated when Booth's (David Boreanaz) name gets tangled with the case.

Based on the trailer for the episode, Booth asked Aubrey (John Boyd) if he has an idea about the drug called Wily Monkey. The FBI agent then replies if it has something to do with the coyote.

This implies that the murderer of the ex-convict that they are after could be a drug dealer. But surprisingly, the suspect for the case is connected to Booth, since the alleged perpetrator is his friend. This could compromise his loyalty to the FBI.

But it appears as if Booth will not just get thrown out of the case. In the trailer, FBI assistant director Courtney Schwartz (Freda Foh Shen) confronts Booth and his wife Brennan (Emily Deschanel), telling him, "You will no longer work with the Bureau."

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"The Jeffersonian investigates the murder of a convicted felon who had been released to a halfway house, but disappeared, and a suspect in the case has ties to Booth. Meanwhile, Brennan testifies at an FBI hearing about the circumstances regarding her assault of an unarmed suspect from a previous case, and the outcome of the hearing could lead to her suspension and prevent her from working with the FBI. Aubrey and Jessica's (guest star Laura Spencer) first kiss is delayed again and Hodgins continues to push Angela away."

"Bones" season 11 episode 14 airs on Thursday, May 5, on Fox.
