BlackBerry Classic vs Nexus 6 specs: Which smartphone is better?

In its serious attempt to get back on top of the mobile device market competition, BlackBerry Ltd. revealed that it will launch a new smartphone that looks very similar to its signature devices that consumers used to love, and it is called the BlackBerry Classic.

The new handset from the Canadian-based mobile manufacturer promises to combine the signature design and function of the old BlackBerry handsets, while adding new features that will give it rivals a run for their money.

But could the new BlackBerry Classic compete against Google's new Nexus 6, which is manufactured by Motorola? The Nexus 6 is the newest flagship from the company, and it is one of the very first devices that run using the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Will the specs of Nexus 6 beat those of BlackBerry Classic's?

Display and Dimension 

There is limited information about the soon-to-be released BlackBerry Classic handset, but it will sport the signature physical QWERTY keypad that the company has been known for. It will also have a 3.46-inch touchscreen featuring 720 x 720 pixel resolution and 291 ppi pixel density. 

The Nexus 6, on the other hand, comes with a 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inch body and weighs 6.49 ounces. It also has a 5.96-inch AMOLED touchscreen that features 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with 493 ppi pixel density. 

Processor and Memory 

The BlackBerry Classic will be equipped with Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU processor that has a speed of 1.5 GHz. It will also have 2 GB of RAM as well as an internal storage of 16 GB and has a maximum storage of up to 128 GB. The smartphone will also have a microSD slot. 

Meanwhile, the Nexus 6 features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 that clocks at 2.7 GHz. It also has an Adreno 420 graphics processor, and has an internal memory of 64 GB. It also has a 2 GB RAM. 

Camera 

BlackBerry's new flagship phone will have an 8-megapixel primary shooter as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing secondary camera. 

The Motorola-made Nexus 6 has a 13-megapixel primary camera with 2-megapixel secondary camera for taking selfies.
