'Better Call Saul': New trailer teases fans on what's ahead for 'Breaking Bad' spinoff

"Breaking Bad" fans can finally catch a glimpse of how corrupt lawyer Saul Goodman struggled to find his way to the top. The recently released trailer of "Better Call Saul" shows scenes from the new spinoff series from AMC, which focuses on the life of the money-hungry attorney six years before he became Albuquerque's toughest criminal lawyer.

The trailer, where Saul can be heard shouting "You! Will! Atone!" to someone, shows his real name through the nameplate printed and taped to a dilapidated office door — it reads "James M. McGill, Esq." There are also several brief scenes shown in the trailer, where the then-struggling lawyer Jimmy McGill is kicking a wastebasket in fury and having several tense conversations with other people. Viewers can also catch their first glimpse of Saul's brother Chuck who, unlike him, is not keen on amassing loads of money.

AMC president Charlie Collier announced that "Better Call Saul" will have a special two-night TV premiere, saying, "This February, during AMC's first ever two-night series premiere event, we're going to introduce Jimmy McGill to the world. Known to Breaking Bad fans as Saul Goodman, viewers will soon discover Saul wasn't always Albuquerque's top criminal (criminal) lawyer."

The cable channel head also said that he is grateful for the team who is taking care of the spinoff, stating that he is thrilled to see their new work again on television.

Saul's role is reprised by original "Breaking Bad" actor Bob Odenkirk, and he is joined by Jonathan Banks, another alum from the show who resurrects his role as private investigator Mike Erhmantraut. Michael McKean portrays the role of Jimmy/Saul's brother Chuck. The cast also includes Michael Mando as Nacho Varga as well as Reha Seehorn as Kim Wexler.

The original "Breaking Bad" executive producers Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan are also supervising the spinoff, and they are joined by Melissa Bernstein and Mark Johnson.

The premiere episodes of "Better Call Saul" will air on Feb. 8 and 9 on AMC, and the regular season run will air every Monday.
