The first 10-episode season of AMC's groundbreaking spin-off series "Better Call Saul" recently aired its finale, which leaves fan craving for more of Jimmy McGill's antics.

Good thing the network ordered for a 13-episode season 2 just days after the filming for the first season began, which means that fans of the iconic "Breaking Bad" will have more chances to get to know the man before he became the cunning lawyer named Saul Goodman in the original Contemporary Western crime drama.

The season one finale showed a highly emotional cliffhanger when Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) ultimately decided not take the offer by the upscale Santa Fe law firm called Davis & Mane.

It also showed how his relationship with his brother Chuck (Michael McKeen) had been deeply wounded after he found out that Chuck was the one who was blocking him from getting a job at the Hamlin, Hamlin, and McGill law firm. This led him to decide to return to Albuquerque and venture into a more crooked path that he was known in the original series.

But what could be in store for Jimmy when the show returns for season two?

Executive producer and series co-creator Peter Gould talked about the direction of "Better Call Saul" season 2 during an interview with Deadline.

According to the executive producer, a lot of changes will happen to Jimmy after all the events that happened to him in season one.

The fact that Chuck decided to work behind his back to stop him from having his dream job at the law firm and lied profusely about it triggered something inside Jimmy. This could possibly change his core.

When asked about the developments of the script for season two, Gould shared: "We're in our writers' room with a bunch of very, very talented writers and we're just in the early stages of putting together the outlines of the first few episodes. In terms of where Season 2 is going, I think you've got to wonder if the guy who went back to Cicero and scammed everybody in sight is able to go back to Albuquerque and live a life on the straight and narrow. As he drives away humming "Smoke On The Water," it really doesn't seem like he's headed for a life of common decency."

The executive producer also admitted that he would like to see more Breaking Bad characters in the show next season.

At the moment, the official release date of "Better Call Saul" season two premiere episode is still unannounced.
