A brand new real-time strategy game based on the popular "Warhammer 40,000" is currently being developed by a team from Tindalos Interactive using Unreal Engine 4 and will be published by Focus Home Interactive. The new RTS, allegedly dubbed as "Battlefleet Gothic: Armada," will reportedly revolve around space combats happening in a fictional war-torn universe, unlike the planet side battles featured in games like the "Dawn of War."

The game will also feature familiar spaceships that can be seen in Imperial, Eldar, Chaos, and Ork divisions as players try to win the combat in order to control the Gothic part of space. Players can also customize the mechanics of all ships, particularly the support sub-systems, defenses, and weaponry. The game's admirals and crew that manage to survive the battles can increase their experience and promotions. However, there are no details yet on how many ships can be controlled by the players in each game.

The new real-time strategy game is inspired by Games Workshop's "Warhammer 40,000" set in a dystopian science-fantasy universe. In this game, human civilization is already scattered across the galaxy. It is played depending on a given scenario or mission, where players will be assigned with a basic set of goals that could be anything from defending or capturing a certain part of the board or even destroying an enemy unit.

Currently, Creative Assembly, the game developer of "Rome: Total War" as well as "Shogun: Total War," is coming up with a new "Total War" game that is also set in the massive "Warhammer" universe.

Focus Home Interactive is still mum about the release date for the upcoming "Battlefleet Gothic: Armada," but players will not have to wait long for the game publishing house to announce more details.
