The wait for "Battlefield 1" will soon be over as the game's Early Enlister edition comes alive several days before the game's official release on Friday, Oct. 21.

DICE drops the upcoming first-person shooter game for those who purchased the Early Enlister Edition on Tuesday, Oct. 18. This edition comes with exclusive digital content upon release.

But EA Access and Origin Access subscribers had a chance to experience playing a portion of the game beforehand during the Play First Trial that began on Oct. 13.

It featured a limited selection of the upcoming single-player and multiplayer content, including the Storm of Steel and Through Mud, and Blood missions for the single-player mode, as well as five maps and four modes that are available for the multiplayer option. However, the Play First Trial can only be accessed for 10 hours.

"Battlefield 1" is the 15th installment of the "Battlefield" franchise that first came out in 2002. The plot of the game is inspired by the historical events during the World War I.

Players can use the weapons that soldiers used during the First World War era, including the automatic and semi-automatic rifles, flamethrowers, bolt-action rifles, and mustard gas, among others.

The game's lead designer, Daniel Berlin, explained why they chose the World War 1 setting for the upcoming "Battlefield 1" game in an interview with IGN. According to Berlin, "World War One is the most technologically divergent war ever - for example, you'll see the cavalry running next to tanks or battles in the trenches alongside firearm combat."

The "Battlefield 1" Early Enlister Edition is being sold on Amazon for $79.96. Players also have the option to buy the Exclusive Collector's Edition that will come with the standard game, a Collector's Edition statue, an exclusive steel book and cloth poster, a deck of playing cards, as well as a messenger pigeon tube with an exclusive DLC. The Exclusive Collector's Edition will also come with the exclusive "Doughboy M1911" in-game weapon skin.
