Is there another stellar actor joining the bunch of amazing cast members of the upcoming epic superhero movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"?

According to reports, "Mockingjay" star Jena Malone will portray the role of the female version of Robin in the movie. In a recent article posted on The Daily Beast, Malone neither confirmed nor denied her participation in the film. However, MovieWeb said the Malone will indeed appear in the movie, after she was spotted with director Zach Snyder around the Detroit set of the film wearing newly dyed crimson hair.

The rumors about a female Robin stemmed from the reported plot of the movie, which is set 10 years after Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson parted ways. Variety also reported that a source told Detroit's WILX-10 news that "the character of Robin is now female."

If the rumors are true, Malone is the perfect fit for the role. She started her career as a child star and landed some roles in TV shows before getting gigs on the big screen. She got her big break when she appeared in the critically acclaimed movie "Stepmom" alongside Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts back in 1998. Her role as Johanna Mason in the blockbuster hit "The Hunger Games" is also noted.

Still, the actress, the film director, and Warner Bros. refused to comment on any speculations regarding the casting rumor.

The "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" film will feature a star-studded cast, including Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana, as well as Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor,, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to be release on March 25, 2015.
