Speculations about the plot of "Attack on Titan" season 2 continue to go around online while the creators of the popular Japanese anime series maintain their mystery.

One of the latest rumors about the plot of the upcoming season claimed that Krista Lenz will plot to kill the series' main protagonist Eren Yeager.

FX News Call suggests that the interaction between Eren and Krista already had a rough start since Eren is not particularly fond of her. Krista, on the other hand, does not seem happy whenever Eren resolves things.

While others believe that the two could end up falling in love with each other, the new theories claim that their rivalry will escalate and the illegitimate child of Wall Sheena's most powerful person Rod Reiss will end up killing Eren next season.

In the first season, Rod ordered her daughter to eat Eren but she refused. However, after some of Rod's memories had been transferred to Krista after his death, will she decide to finish what her father told her to do in the next season.

Krista's real identity is also rumored to be tackled in "Attack on Titan" season 2, after the truth about her family had been revealed. Will she begin using her real named Historia Reiss and live among her biological father's family, or while she decides to go against them?

Meanwhile, reports also suggest that Eren's adopted sister, Mikasa Ackerman, will be involved in a love triangle with the siblings' childhood friend Armin Arlert and Survey Corps' most powerful Special Operations Squad member Levi.

Aside from relationship dramas, more action scenes are expected to be featured in the second season of "Attack on Titan" anime series. According to reports, a new kind of Titan named Zeke, who is rumored to be as intelligent as a human being, will be introduced.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to be released sometime in 2017.
