It seems like fans have to wait until the second half of 2015 to see Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert back in action for "Attack on Titan" season 2.

According to a report by the Latin Times, the development of the anime version of Hajime Isayama's "Shingeki no Kyojin" or "Attack on Titan" manga series will only begin once the manga's Volume 15 is released, which is scheduled to take place sometime in winter 2014. This could mean that the highly anticipated second season will be released around August next year.

Though anime producer Wit Studio is still silent about the release date of season 2, they announced that they will release two movie compilations of the past episodes of "Attack on Titan" season 1. The first one, which will be released on Nov. 22, will be called "Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow," and it will be composed of episodes one to 13. Then it will be followed by "Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom," featuring the last 12 episodes of the season, to be released sometime early next year.

Also, Wit Studio announced that a two-episode OVA series that will adapt the prequel manga, dubbed as "Attack on Titan: No Regrets" will be aired on Dec. 9, 2014 and April 9, 2015.

Futhermore, a special exhibit that will feature the works of Hajime Isayama for the "Attack on Titan" series will debut next month at the Tokyo's Ueno Royal Museum. The visual presentation, to be held on Nov. 28, will showcase the author's original artworks for the series. It will also contain several drawings made exclusively for the art event.

Exhibit organizers claim that this will be the first time that the public will see the original manga manuscripts from the commercially-acclaimed series.  The reports also stated that a life-size version of the manga's Colossal Titan will be the highlight of the art show.

Two live-action movies for the legendary post-apocalyptic series are also in the works, and are due for release in 2015.
