More secrets about the mission of the Survey Corps in saving humanity will be unveiled when chapter 85 of "Attack on Titan" is released.

According to the speculations on the chapter with the Japanese title "地下室 Chikashitsu," the main characters of the best-selling manga written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama will take a short break from all the fighting against the gigantic monsters to find more answers about the origin of the Titans inside the basement of the Yeager residence in Shiganshina.

Spoilers claim that the truth behind the secrets of the Reiss monarch, how they managed to get the authority to rule humanity, as well as their rise to power, will be revealed in the upcoming episode. This could also mean that Eren, Armin, and Mikasa will also find out more about the secrets of Krista Lenz and her father, Rod Reiss.

But aside from the Reiss family history, speculations claim that Eren will finally find the missing pieces about his own family secrets, particularly about his father, Dr. Grisha Yeager. Could Eren use the information to defeat the Titan?

If Eren and the gang will finally unveil the truth from the contents of the basement, it means that fans of the manga will finally learn more about the secrets of the entire "Attack on Titan" mystery.

Meanwhile, Forbes revealed that the "Attack on Titan" manga sold more than 60 million copies in print, based on the Twitter post of one of publisher Kodansha's social media accounts. While the post did not clarify if the numbers pertain to worldwide sales, it could be assumed that it could be the case since the last sales update of the manga in May 2016 reportedly reached 52 million copies in various parts of the world.

The chapter 85 of "Attack on Titan" is expected to be released in the coming days.
