More new smartphones will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Sprint is now rolling out the mobile operating system for the Samsung Galaxy S6. The update comes roughly a month after T-Mobile released the update to the South Korea-based company's 2015 flagship.

The update brings the smartphone's software to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It has a size of 1235.87MB, so users should secure a stable Wi-Fi connection while downloading it in order to get a smooth installation process.

Meanwhile, LG V10 owners in Korea and Turkey are also slated to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. LG has started rolling out the software, which comes at 846MB in size, to handsets in the said countries, but hasn't shared details as to when the update will arrive in other regions.

Thankfully, LG has confirmed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is already finalized, which means that it won't take long before it hits other markets as well. GSM Arena surmises that LG V10 users in other countries will get the update a couple of weeks or more.

Android Marshmallow comes with a truckload of goodies. The most talked-about feature is the all-new Doze mode, which puts the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the LG V10 into deep sleep. The apps in the background are closed to save battery life.

Other juice-saving features included in Android Marshmallow are the Do Not Disturb mode, which allows users to select priority apps that can send notifications, and the Attentive Display, which dims the screen of the handset when not in use.

Another key Android Marshmallow feature is Google Now on Tap, which displays information it thinks the users want to see or will find useful and relevant, like package tracking, weather updates or directions based on the emails or any other stuff the user visits or accesses. With the software arriving on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG V10, users will have expanded volume controls as well.

The update is currently rolling out. Those who haven't received a notification for the download can manually check the software's ability on the handsets' settings.
