He will find you
One of the qualities to look for in a Christian husband is that he will continue searching for you. Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord." It is clear that a man must look for his wife, and it shouldn't be the other way around. So if you're dating someone, check if this person is really on a search for a wife and not just trying to date around.
He loves God
There is no question that this man must love God above all else, and that means loving God more than you too. His faith isn't just a background in his life, but he should be active in serving the Lord with all his heart. His love for the Lord must be intense as yours. If his love is more intense, that's better because he can also encourage and influence you more. Again, this is non-negotiable. Your future Christian husband must love God 100 percent.
He should put others before him
Part of the purpose of marriage is to procreate and make a family. With that said, a husband must become a father who is willing to put the needs of others or the family before him. 1 Corinthians 10:24 says, "No one should seek their own good, but the good of others." While you're dating, check if he has a selfish attitude or one where he likes to focus on himself first.
At the same time, you must see in your future Christian husband that he cares for his family. Does he speak bad about his parents or siblings? That's a bad sign. He must treat and speak of them with respect. He must always honor them. This is how you'll know how he will treat your own family once you have children. 1 Timothy 5:4 says, "Put their religion into practice by caring for their own family."
He is active in church
What you want in a husband is someone who doesn't only go to church on Sundays, but has the passion to be actively engaged in the church, too. Whether it is going on missions or helping arrange church events, you must see in this man his need to continuously serve the Lord as much as he can. By doing so, the head of the household will also influence you and the children to become more active in the church as well.
He prays faithfully
How a man prays is also an important quality to factor in. Does he pray just for the sake of it? Or does he pray with intensity? Prayers usually reflect one's faith. Hence, it must be heartfelt and meaningful. James 5:16 says, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Your future Christian husband must pray to God with sincerity, and his prayers must not only focus on himself, but will also inspire others around him to believe in God.
Finding a life partner isn't an easy thing. For many Christian women, they believe that it is all in God's perfect timing. That's true. But if you start feeling a bit desperate about meeting someone, just keep praying and don't let this feeling take over.
