The new Land Rover Discovery made its debut with its first 2017 model last year. Coming into 2018 is its second model aptly named as the 2018 Land Rover Discovery which offers a lot more than the first model.

First things first, with all its new features, people can expect this car to be more expensive. Comparing it to the 2017 model, the 2018 one costs a few thousand dollars more, according to Motor Authority. The extra thousand dollars, however, will find its worth in the new model.

Like some of the 2017 models, all 2018 ones now have the InControl Touch Pro which basically does almost everything a car needs. It is a bit bigger, however, at 10.3 inches. The InControl Touch Pro has its own Global Positioning System (GPS) (GPS), giving drivers possible routes as they plan their destinations ahead.

Once parked, it can even give walking directions. displaying locations of the public transport and showing ways to get there. It can also, of course, play music and send exact time of arrival reports to friends, family, and officemates when needed. Exclusive to the 2018 models is the 4G connectivity with Wi-Fi offering connection up to eight devices. For the high-level HSE as well as the HSE Luxury trim levels, it offers a 12.3-inch screen instrument display which can be personally configured.

If that is not enough to show the price's worth, the car uses cheaper diesel, offering more savings in the long run. On an eight-speed automatic transmission, the base SE trim for the 2018 Discovery is at 254-horsepower with a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V6. The 2017 models also offered this but only on their HSE models. The 2018 models with the gasoline engine remains the same as the 2017 models.

According to Cars.com, all 2018 models also now offer safety measures. Previously only as a standalone purchase, the 2018 Discovery will have a collision system that can apply emergency brakes and detect pedestrian lanes. On these occasions, the car will give audio and visual warnings to the driver.
