It seems like acquiring the upgraded 2017 BMW 4 Series will be a lot easier on the pocket when the German car maker releases the new line of compact executive automobiles soon.

Australian car blogs have revealed the recommended price list for the next-generation BMW 4 Series car models, which are notably more affordable than their predecessors.

Based on the suggested retail price for the upcoming automobiles, the new BMW 420i Coupe could be purchased for $68,900 in Australia. This will slash off $2,200 from the current coupe price on the market. But the upcoming automobile will come out with over $6,000 worth of additional features like the 20d 2.0-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder upon release.

BMW Australia general manager and corporate communications head Lenore Fletcher talked about their pricing strategy for the upcoming automobile line in an interview shared by Motoring AU.

"That's part of our strategy to keep people in the range," Fletcher said. "The other thing too is people want to have more individualised and more unique vehicles. They don't want to have a car that everyone else has got, they want something a little bit different."

The rest of the suggested retail prices for the 2017 BMW 4 Series, as reported by BehindTheWheel.com.au, are the following:

  • BMW 420i Gran Coupe $68,900
  • BMW 420i Convertible $85,900
  • BMW 420d Coupe $71,200
  • BMW 420d Gran Coupe $71,200
  • BMW 420d Convertible $88,200
  • BMW 430i Coupe $79,900
  • BMW 430i Gran Coupe $79,900
  • BMW 430i Convertible $96,900
  • BMW 440i Coupe $99,900
  • BMW 440i Gran Coupe $99,900
  • BMW 440i Convertible $117,900

Some of the improvements that will come with the new 2017 BMW 4 series include the addition of the Adaptive M Suspension for both the 420i and the 420d units. This is not surprising since the chassis technology feature is already present in other BMW models.

The German car maker is expected to announce the official release date of the upcoming 2017 BMW 4 Series soon.
