General Motors will finally unveil the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro for the first time at the 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise event in Detroit that is happening this weekend.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is an annual classic car exhibit that is traditionally held every third Saturday of August in Woodward Avenue in Metropolitan Detroit. For this year, Chevrolet is going to be the major sponsor of the event. The company is slated to put up several displays in several major points scattered all over the venue during the event.

According to reports, Chevrolet's biggest feature in the event will be the public display of the coupe and convertible models of the brand-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.

Previous leaks about the state-of-the-art convertible model of the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro claimed that the roof of the automobile is fully automatic. GM Authority revealed that the latches automatically release and secure. Its soft-top is also reported to have the capacity of operating at up to 30 mph speed.

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro coupe model, on the other hand, is also described to have an innovative design that combines function and style.

"The 2016 Camaro coupe will set the benchmark for the segment in terms of technology, performance, and design," Camaro marketing manager Todd Christensen said. "Adding the most sophisticated top in the segment brings another level of refinement, and driving enjoyment, to the Camaro convertible."

Also, the official Chevrolet website says that the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will come in three powerline engine variants, namely the 2.0L Turbo, the 6.2 L V8, and the 3.6L V6 engines.

The sales for the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is rumored to begin on Aug. 13, and it will possibly start being produced on Aug. 22. The sixth-generation of the legendary American muscle car is expected to sell at around $25,000.

Those who would like to get the first glimpse of the automobile must head toward the junction of Woodward Ave. and Old Woodward Ave. located in Birmingham, Michigan on Saturday, Aug. 15. There will also be a display of up to 150 Camaro vehicles owned by the members of the Camaro Club in an exhibit called the "Camaro Corral" at 23925 Woodward Ave. also on the same day.
