Thousands of cosplayers flocked to Anaheim, California over the Easter weekend to attend the annual three-day WonderCon comic convention. On its first day alone, over 60,000 people were in attendance at the Anaheim Convention Center.

MyFOX LA talked to a female attendee who donned a pirate costume during the opening day of the event. According to her, WonderCon is "a bunch of people coming together doing awesome nerdy things, comic books, video games and art, so it's a lot of fun."

Aside from doing cosplays, WonderCon is also a venue for film and TV studios to present their plans for their upcoming films and shows. One of the first panels held during the event was staged by "The Flash" TV series, which was attended by series showrunner Andrew Kreisberg and actors Carlos Valdez (Cisco), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin), and Candice Patton (Iris). According to Kreisberg, the last few episodes of the series will tackle the opportunity of each major character to find out their futures, and how they will deal with it.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. presented the teaser trailers for the soon-to-be released disaster movie "San Andreas" starring Dwayne Johnson, and "Mad Max: Fury Road" that stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

The panel presentation of the film outfit for "San Andreas" was attended by director Brad Peyton and cast members led by Carla Gugino, who portrays the role of Ray's (Johnson) ex-wife Emma, as well as Alexandra Daddario, the couple's daughter. The movie is about Ray's plight of rescuing his ex-wife and daughter after California is almost wiped out by a massive earthquake. "San Andreas is expected to be launched on May 29.

On the other hand, a couple of clips from George Miller's post-apocalyptic film "Mad Max: Fury Road" were also screened during the event. The first one was already aired during the SXSW film festival last month. The "Mad Max" film will premiere on May 13.

The Wondercon 2015 ended on Sunday, April 5.
