Amy Duggar's confession is rocking the foundation of the Duggar family.

The aspiring country singer and Jim Bob Duggar's niece recently confirmed the rumors that her mother gave birth to her out of wedlock in one of her Instagram posts. The post showing Amy with her parents explained her side of the story.

"The tabloids are telling the truth, my mom and dad did have me out of wedlock. Just because we are Christians doesn't make us perfect, it just makes us forgiven," the part-time reality star said.

She admitted that being a Duggar does not mean that her life and her family's are perfect. She also said that she is not ashamed of her story, and she is grateful to her parents, particularly her mom, who chose to push through with the pregnancy and give her life.

"She's beautiful inside and out. I'm also grateful that I have such an awesome relationship with my dad!" claimed the famous Duggar cousin.

Fans of the hit TLC reality series "19 Kids and Counting" were shocked with this revelation, especially since they all know that the family has a very strict policy regarding pre-marital sex.

Jim Bob and Michelle teach all their 19 children, particularly their girls, that it is not right to give themselves away before they get married. They also set several strict dating rules at home, which means that the kids should have chaperones whenever they go out on dates, and they must let their parents read the text messages that they share with their suitors.

With Amy's revelation, fans are now aware that the family may not be as perfect as what they are painted to be in the show.

Amy also said in her Instagram page that she is very thankful for being saved by Christ.

"Jesus, thank you for restoring hearts, relationships and families. No matter what you have done, don't think your a second you're alone in this world. Jesus died so that you may be free! John3:16 #prolife," she posted.
