After the sequel to "Yo-Kai Watch" made waves in the Japanese market, U.S. fans will soon be playing two "Yo-Kai Watch 2" video games on their Nintendo 3DS beginning this fall.

Scott Moffitt, the executive vice president of sales and marketing of Nintendo of America, made the announcement about the release of "Yo-Kai Watch 2" in a press release obtained by iDigitalTimes. It reads:

"After being such a massive sensation in Japan, it's great to see the U.S. start to embrace the mischievous and lovable Yo-kai. We're excited to continue bringing fun Yo-kai experiences stateside this year."

The release date was also posted on the "Yo-Kai Watch" official U.S. Facebook page, saying that both "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits" and "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls" will be released on Sept. 30.

The role-playing video game sequel was first released in Japan in 2014, where it received massive commercial and critical success. As of February 2015, both "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits" and "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls" variations of the sequel accumulatively sold 3.1 million copies in the Japanese market alone.

Hasbro will also add several new items on its "Yo-Kai Watch" line alongside the release of the video games. These include the "Yo-Kai Watch" Model Zero toys, which are watches designed to look like the one worn by Nate in the second season of "Yo-Kai Watch" anime series. According to Business Wire, the said watch features the Yo-Motion Technology which can emit a projected animation of a Yo-Kai character when players insert a Yo-Motion Yo-Kai Medal in the toy's designated slot.

The toy company will release other special "Yo-Kai Watch" accessories, electronic figures, large plush toys, and a brand-new "Yo-Kai Watch" trading card game.

The "Yo-Kai Watch 2" game franchise has a third game called "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Shinuchi," which was released in December 2014, but there is no word yet if the game will also come out to the U.S. shores in the future.
