Xbox news: Party chat might soon be accessible through mobile phones

Microsoft has been upping its game recently for its consoles. With Xbox One being the most powerful console to date, Microsoft plans to add more to gamer experience.Fans of the gaming console will have a new feature to explore, as recently, the company has been trying to implement a new option where gamers can chat with party mates on their mobile phones.

Microsoft has not made any announcements of this yet, but some fans were able to post it on Reddit. Apparently, the "Xbox beta" screenshot of the app in the Reddit post shows that players can now voice chat with their friends even while they were away from their consoles.

As this is in beta, this whole new feature is still going to be a test. Unfortunately, the app is only available for the Android as of now. It will most likely find its way to the iOS store once the beta is done.

Since Microsoft has not said anything about this yet, nobody knows how long the beta will last nor when the beta will be integrated into the Xbox app itself. This feature is apparently one that fans have been asking for a while now. Microsoft has games that offer cross-play between different platforms, so it would make sense to add a party chat.

Players usually use other apps like Discord to make communicating easier while playing the game. Undoubtedly, it has been one of the most popular apps right now. Getting one specifically for Xbox players might not be any different. However, Microsoft may look to make it more convenient for users.

Since the Xbox beta is now in the testing stage, it would possibly not be long before it will be out officially. For now, users can try the beta app since it is open to the public and is free.
