Christmas is coming early for Xbox Live Games with Gold members after Microsoft decided to drop the list of free games for January 2016.

Major Nelson revealed the four free game titles that Microsoft prepared for Xbox One and Xbox 360 players for the first month of the upcoming year as part of the Games with Gold program. Two of these titles will be for Xbox One players, while the other two are games for the Xbox 360.

However, Xbox One players have the advantage of getting the free games for Xbox 360 since they can also play it on their consoles because of the Backward Compatibility program.

One of the free game titles for Xbox One is Double Helix Games' "Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition."

The game, which was initially released in 2014, is the reboot version of the original "Killer Instinct" game that first came out in 1994. But aside from the gameplay of the reboot version of the game, "Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition" comes with the original characters like Jago, Sabrewulf, Glacius, Thunder, Sadira, Orchid, Spinal, and Fulgore. It also has added accessories and costumes for each characters.

"Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition," originally priced at $39.99, will be available for free all throughout January 2016.

Meanwhile, the second free game for Xbox One is an action fighting game from Rimlight called "Zheros." It will be available for download starting Jan. 16 to Feb. 16.

Those who are subscribed to Xbox Live Games with Gold using the Xbox 360 will get to enjoy "DiRT Showdown" from Jan. 1 up to Jan. 15. The game is originally priced at $14.99.

For the second half of the month, Xbox Live Gold members can get "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" from Jan. 16 to Jan. 31. The game usually costs $14.99.
