WWE returns rumors 2016: is Hulk Hogan going to come back to the ring?

It looks like Hulk Hogan will be back in the WWE ring soon. There are new reports claiming the WWE legend is thinking of reuniting on good terms with the company.

According to a source of the Daily Wrestling News, Hogan will be "eased back in" the franchise and that WWE officials are simply waiting for the perfect timing to bring him back.

Hogan was kicked out of WWE back in July last year after recordings showing him uttering racist comments made the rounds online.

Media outlets say that the WWE superstar has since been forgiven by fans, as the incident happened during a trying time in his life. Now, WWE appears to have moved past the issue as well.

WWE is about to conduct another brand split, making Raw and SmackDown two separate entities starting July 19. It is said that the company will need as much superstars at it can get to bump up each brand's rosters.

There were previous rumors that WWE is looking to bring back some older superstars to the fold, including the likes of Goldberg, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle, who confirmed he was in talks with Triple H a couple of months back.

Hogan may just be another one of those superstars that WWE could bring back for the brand split. Daily Wrestling News says that Vince McMahon himself wants Hogan to return.

The company believes that he is still one of the attractions of WWE and that "Hogan still equals money" so it would be remiss not be bring him back.

At the moment, Hogan's return is still up in the air. It is also unclear if Hogan feels the same way about a WWE comeback. However, The Inquisitr reports that he always shows his interest to return during his interviews.

In a chat with FOX News back in March, Hogan said that wrestling is his life and that he will "forever regret" that "dumb" mistake he made.

"[WWE have] known me for 35 years. They know who I am... If I had a chance to ever come back home to WWE, the first thing I'd love to do is punch Vince [McMahon] right in the nose. That would be a dream come true," he said.
