WWE returns 2016: Victoria not making a comeback after all

Is Victoria set for a WWE return soon? WWE.com

It turns out that Victoria might not be returning to WWE after all. The former WWE Diva champion was rumored to return after she teased a possible comeback on Twitter.

On Twitter, the superstar (real name Lisa Marie Varon) teased that she will make a WWE return and that she will be joining the SmackDown line-up as well.

"I was told by Adam Raymond that this week's WWE Smackdown is a must see. Not sure why. Hmmmm," Victoria mused, referring to a friend of hers.

Before this, Raymond, who is actually Victoria's best friend, tweeted out "Smackdown on Tuesday is gonna be really cool if you're a fan of [Varon]. Just saying."

As fans obviously realized, Victoria was not on the Aug. 2 show of SmackDown Live. It turns out that Raymond came to the show as a spectator, where he held up a sign that said "Victoria for HOF (Hall of Fame) please."

Some fans were upset that Victoria did not make the WWE return they were expecting. Raymond said that it only goes to show that the former women's champion is still "relevant" in the wrestling world.

It turns out that a WWE return for Victoria is not on the cards after all, but fans might look forward to the possibly of her being inducted to the Hall of Fame.

Victoria left WWE in 2009. She briefly wrestled in TNA as Tara then moved on to managing her own restaurant. Every now and then, she returns to the ring and has recently wrestled fellow former WWE Diva Mickie James.

Bleacher Report said that Victoria would have been a great addition to SmackDown that will spice things up in the women's division.

However, it looks like Victoria is focused on being a restaurateur and while she still does wrestling, it appears that she will not be affiliated with WWE anytime soon.
